It was at the beginning of June 2022 that Toyota presented us with a new Corolla Cross that will be added to the family. Indeed, the 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid debuted in America earlier this month. Performance and efficiency will be there with this subcompact SUV.
Toyota has confirmed that this hybrid model will be assembled at the new Mazda Toyota Manufacturing plant located in Huntsville, Alabama. It can be expected that 150,000 Corolla Crosses will be produced each year.
Powerful Performance
The 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid, offered only with all-wheel drive, will use the high-strength TNGA-C platform using more compact equipment to ensure superior performance, better handling and a versatile interior.
Equipped with a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine and an electric motor, the total power of this hybrid Corolla Cross will be 194 horsepower. Toyota also announced that the average combined fuel consumption is estimated at 6.4L/100 km, for all versions.
What versions will be offered?
Note that the 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid will be offered in two versions, SE and XSE. As for the SE version, we can expect, among other things, 17-inch alloy wheels, a large touchscreen, a tuned sport suspension, as well as cutting-edge technologies. As for the XSE version, we will be entitled to 18-inch alloy wheels, seats upholstered in SoftTEX, in addition to all the equipment offered on the SE version.
A distinctive exterior design
As for exterior colors, note that four two-tone combinations will be available for the 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid, namely Sonic Silver with black roof, Barcelona Red with black roof, Blue Shock Metallic with black roof and the all-new Acid Burst color. with black roof. It will also be possible to have the vehicle in a solid color.
Note that the front part of the vehicle has been refreshed and now offers a prominent beak which is found above the grille and the Toyota sign is located under the second air intake which gives it a sporty look.
A versatile cabin
Toyota offers us a spacious interior that has the same features as the Corolla Sedan and Hatchback. On the SE and XSE trims, we'll get a power sunroof, followed by dual-zone automatic climate control.
The 2023 Corolla Cross Hybrid will, of course, receive Toyota's latest multimedia system, Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. In addition, the driver will benefit from a wide range of improved connectivity and convenience features.
