Versions for all needs
Indeed, the Crown 2023 will be available in three versions: the XLE, the Limited and the Platinum. When it comes to powertrains, two options will be available. First, we have the HYBRID MAX system, which will be exclusive to the Platinum trim and is Toyota's all-new high-performance hybrid package. This 2.4L turbo engine will develop 340 horsepower and will be paired with a 6-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission to offer the sportiest driving experience. In addition, Toyota estimates a combined city/highway fuel consumption of 8.4 L/100 km. Secondly, the XLE and Limited versions will be entitled to the fourth generation of the Toyota hybrid system, commonly known as THS, which is equipped with a 2.5 L block and two electric motors. The power developed will be 236 horsepower. This hybrid system is equipped with a high-efficiency bipolar nickel metal hydride battery that was recently developed. This offers it the possibility of achieving a combined city/highway consumption of 6.2 L/100 km. Note that all three versions of the Toyota Crown will be equipped with the advanced electronically controlled AWD on demand system.
